U.S. President Donald Trump said Iran contacted Washington to discuss a deal after recent American strikes, but he said it is still unclear whether the fighting could escalate again.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday, Trump said U.S. forces had hit Iranian targets hard and warned that if hostilities resume, the U.S. would respond quickly. He also said he was uncertain whether Tehran would follow through on any agreement.
