Trump names Jay Clayton to lead new Super Intelligence Force

Super Intelligence Force: Trump taps Jay Clayton to coordinate US AI efforts Aims to boost America’s edge in AI—see who’s leading the new federal team

President Donald Trump said he has appointed Jay Clayton, the US director of national intelligence, to lead a new Super Intelligence Force focused on coordinating federal AI efforts. The announcement was made on Truth Social on Sunday, following earlier media reports that the administration was preparing to create the group. Trump said the force is intended to help keep the United States at the front of super intelligence development. He also said the group will include Andrew Ferguson of the Federal Trade Commission, Scott Kupor of the Office of Personnel Management, and Emil Michael, the under secretary of war for research and engineering. Clayton previously led the Securities and Exchange Commission during Trump’s first term and served as interim US attorney for the Southern District of New York. He was confirmed by the Senate in July to lead the intelligence community, and reports indicate he is expected to remain in that role as well.
