Meta's Muse Code debuts as its first coding agent for faster software work Get setup details, pricing, and enterprise features as Meta takes on rivals
Meta has introduced Muse Code, its first coding agent, as the company expands its AI lineup and competes more directly with Anthropic and OpenAI.
The tool was announced by Alexandr Wang, Meta's chief AI officer, who leads Meta Superintelligence Labs and oversees foundation model development. Wang said developers can install the agent with a single command and use it for software engineering tasks such as planning changes, writing code, and checking results.
Muse Code is available in preview and works with Meta's latest model, Muse Spark 1.2. Developers can access it through payasyougo pricing, and Meta is also offering a lowercost contributor tier. The company said the tool will be sold through its developer page and on OpenRouter, while also supporting zerodata retention requests for enterprise users.
