The City of Langley says an ammonia gas leak at Langley Twin Rinks did not cause any injuries after a precautionary shelterinplace order was issued on Friday morning.
Fire crews responded to the reported leak at about 7 a.m. at the facility on Langley Bypass. The building was evacuated, and the city later said the order was lifted early Friday afternoon.
Officials said the rink remains closed while a specialized response contractor works at the site. The city also said the leak was contained inside the building and nearby area, and that the cause has been identified.
