Claude Science launches as an AI workbench for scientists

Claude Science streamlines AI-powered scientific research with workflows, audits, and outputs Explore beta access for macOS and Linux, plus tools for genomics, proteomics, and more

Anthropic has introduced Claude Science, a new AI workbench designed for scientific research. The beta app is available to Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise users on macOS and Linux. The company says the tool brings together common research workflows in one environment, including literature analysis, multistep experiments, figure creation, manuscript drafting, and reproducible outputs. It also includes audit trails, reviewer agents to check citations and calculations, and support for scientific areas such as genomics, proteomics, structural biology, and cheminformatics. Claude Science can connect to local machines, remote systems, and highperformance computing resources, and it is preconfigured to work with more than 60 scientific skills and connectors. Anthropic says researchers have already used the platform in beta for tasks such as singlecell RNA sequencing, CRISPR screen design, protein structure prediction, and drug discoveryrelated analysis.
