Ethereum’s Glamsterdam upgrade launches on Sepolia testnet

Ethereum Glamsterdam upgrade hits Sepolia, boosting scalability and efficiency Track the path to Hoodi and mainnet as developers prepare the next rollout

Ethereum has launched its Glamsterdam upgrade on the Sepolia testnet, marking a key step before the network’s next mainnet release. According to the Ethereum community and the Ethereum Foundation, the testnet rollout took place on Tuesday at 1:53 pm UTC. The upgrade is designed to improve Ethereum’s scalability and efficiency through changes such as enshrined proposerbuilder separation, blocklevel access lists, and updated gas pricing. Sepolia is one of the final test environments before developers set the activation date on the Hoodi testnet and then decide the mainnet launch timing. Glamsterdam follows the Fusaka upgrade and is intended to help the network process transactions more efficiently while preparing for future protocol changes.
