1 dead, 5 injured in Brampton two-vehicle collision

Brampton crash investigation after one dead and five hurt in two-vehicle collision See what police know so far about the red-light crash at McVean and Countryside

One person was killed and five others were injured, including three who are in lifethreatening condition, after a twovehicle crash in Brampton on Saturday night. Peel Regional Police said officers were called to the intersection of McVean Drive and Countryside Drive around 10:45 p.m. Investigators believe one vehicle was travelling southbound on McVean Drive while the other was heading east on Countryside Drive. Police said the eastbound vehicle appears to have run a red light. The passenger in the southbound vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver suffered nonlifethreatening injuries. The crash is now being investigated by the major collision bureau.
