Beacon Hill pool in Beaconsfield, Quebec, has added new accessibility features to make swimming easier for people with reduced mobility.
The upgrades include ramps, adapted washrooms, and a pool lift, with the project costing nearly $100,000. The work was supported by federal funding and help from the City of Beaconsfield.
Pool officials and local residents say the changes are meant to remove barriers and make the community facility more inclusive. Residents hope similar upgrades will be expanded to other pools in Beaconsfield and across the West Island.
