Stocks move midday as Super Micro, EQT, AAR, Chubb and others react to earnings

Midday stock movers: earnings beats, guidance updates, and new contract wins See why Super Micro, EQT, Rocket Lab, and others are swinging in Wednesday trade

Several U.S.listed stocks moved sharply in midday trading on Wednesday after companies reported earnings, updated guidance, or announced new contracts. Super Micro Computer climbed about 25% after preliminary fourthquarter results showed stronger profitability than Wall Street expected, even though revenue landed near the low end of its forecast. The gains also lifted server peers Dell Technologies and Hewlett Packard Enterprise. EQT rose more than 6% after posting betterthanexpected secondquarter production and raising its 2026 sales volume outlook. Other movers included Amazon, which fell slightly after CNBC confirmed layoffs in its artificial intelligence unit, and AAR, which dropped after reporting weakerthanexpected margins in its fiscal fourth quarter. Chubb declined despite results that reflected slower property and casualty growth, while Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies gained after lifting fullyear guidance. Pegasystems slid after missing secondquarter earnings expectations, and Rocket Lab advanced after winning a U.S. Air Force contract.
