Blake Lively seeks more than $8 million in legal costs from Justin Baldoni

Blake Lively is asking a court to award her more than $8 million US in legal costs from Justin Baldoni following the dispute over the film It Ends With Us. In a filing on Tuesday, Lively’s lawyers said the amount includes about $7.5 million US in attorney’s fees and more than $539,000 US in other costs. They said the expenses were tied to defending against Baldoni’s $400 million US defamation lawsuit, which was filed in January 2025. The request comes after both sides agreed to end their legal battle last month. A judge later ruled that Lively could recover some legal costs under a California law meant to protect people from retaliatory lawsuits in harassment and discrimination cases. Baldoni and Wayfarer Studios had previously denied Lively’s allegations, while Lively had accused them of working to damage her reputation after she raised concerns about conduct on set.
