Canada's Hennessy and Jensen win silver in Montreal World Cup events

Canada's Brianna Hennessy and Sophia Jensen each earned silver medals on Saturday at the canoe sprint and Para canoe World Cup in Montreal. Hennessy, from Ottawa, placed second in the women's KL1 200metre Para canoe final at the Olympic Basin in Parc JeanDrapeau. She finished behind Chile's Katherinne Wollermann, while Brazil's Adriana Azevedo took bronze. Later in the day, Jensen of Chelsea, Quebec, finished second in the women's C1 500metre race. China's Sun Mengya won gold and Italy's Olympia Della Diustina claimed bronze. The Montreal competition continues Sunday, and the world championships are scheduled for late August in Poznan, Poland.
