On June 11, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the State Administration for Market Regulation held reminder talks with some automobile manufacturers suspected of engaging in irrational competition. The two departments required the relevant enterprises to strictly comply with laws and regulations such as the Price Law, and to strengthen price compliance efforts and product quality control in accordance with the Guidelines for Price Conduct Compliance in the Automobile Industry. The purpose of this talks is to guide enterprises in maintaining market order characterized by high quality and fair prices, and healthy competition, so as to better protect the lawful rights and interests of consumers.
