On June 24, General Secretary Xi Jinping inspected the “Three Summer” agricultural production in Dongyujia Village, Bianlin Town, Lingcheng District, Dezhou City, Shandong Province, to learn about wheat harvests, corn planting, and the supply of agricultural inputs.
Reports showed that local efforts to improve integrated waterfertilizer systems, apply improved seed varieties, and strengthen refined field management have made agricultural production more efficient. Technical personnel and major grain growers introduced to the General Secretary the progress in highstandard farmland construction, watersaving and efficiency gains, and farm machinery operations.
The article also noted that Dezhou’s wheat is expected to have a bumper harvest, the supply of agricultural inputs is generally stable, and drying and storage capacity is relatively sufficient. As new varieties, new technologies, and new equipment continue to be promoted, smart agriculture is becoming an important support for “Three Summer” production.
