According to Xinhua News Agency, the dinner was held at 7 p.m. that day, and President Xi and Madame Peng Liyuan entered together with Chairman Kim and Mrs. Ri Sol Ju. The attendees welcomed the two leaders and their spouses with applause. President Xi noted that China and North Korea are close neighbors and a relationship that shares a common destiny, and pointed out that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the signing of the ChinaNorth Korea Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.
