Worker in Their 50s Suffers Cardiac Arrest in Entanglement Accident at Ourhome Yongin Plant

A subcontractor worker in his 50s at Ourhome Yongin Plant 2 in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province was transported to a hospital in cardiac arrest after his neck became caught in a conveyor belt. The accident reportedly occurred around 2:50 p.m. on the 8th at a fish cake skewer packaging worksite in Namsaeup, Cheoingu. Police believe the accident happened when the hood the worker was wearing got pulled into the machine. Police are investigating the exact circumstances based on onsite footage and witness statements. Ourhome said it has suspended operations of the production line and will work with the relevant authorities to investigate the cause and conduct safety inspections across all of its workplaces.
