On the afternoon of July 17, Chinese President Xi Jinping met with Thai Prime Minister Anutin, who was in China to attend the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference and the HighLevel Meeting on Global AI Governance and to pay an official visit, at Shanghai West Suburban Hotel. Xi Jinping said that China and Thailand share a longstanding friendship, and both sides should continue to enhance strategic mutual trust, deepen strategic coordination, promote the building of a ChinaThailand community with a shared future, and contribute to regional peace, stability, development, and prosperity. China supports Thailand in following a development path suited to its national conditions, and also supports Thailand's new government in carrying out governance smoothly. The two sides also exchanged views on trade and economic cooperation, connectivity, artificial intelligence, aerospace, clean energy, tourism, education, and combating online gambling and telecom fraud. Anutin said that Thailand firmly pursues the oneChina policy and is willing to strengthen cooperation with China across all fields and maintain coordination and cooperation on regional and multilateral affairs.
