Beijing, July 3 Professor Gui Haichao of the School of Astronautics at Beihang University said at a Chinese and foreign journalists' meeting titled "Strivers on the New Journey" held by the State Council Information Office that research topics should come more from practical needs and specific task scenarios. Gui Haichao reviewed his experience working on crewed spaceflight missions. He said that personally taking part in the front line of aerospace engineering and conducting scientific experiments in space made him better understand the connection between scientific research and engineering applications, and also made him realize the important role that real task scenarios play in shaping research directions. He also introduced that after returning to Beihang, he formed a team to conduct research around areas such as space robots, space traffic, and space debris management, with a focus on exploring technical solutions to improve the safety of space operations and space environment perception capabilities.
