President Lee Jaemyung held a dinner at the Blue House on the 1st with the floor leadership of the Democratic Party of Korea and asked them to speed up the handling of bills related to state agenda tasks for the second half of the year.
This dinner, following a lunch with former President Moon Jaein after the presidential inauguration, was scheduled on the same day. It was the first time in about five months, since last January, that President Lee had invited and met with the ruling party's floor leadership at the Blue House.
The president and the floor leadership shared legislative priorities for the latter half of the 22nd National Assembly and agreed that the government and the ruling party must cooperate more strongly to carry out state agenda tasks and revive the livelihood economy. It was also reported that the dinner discussed legislative tasks related to the three major mega projects and the creation of a semiconductor cluster in the southwest region.
