Ryu Jun-yeol emphasizes pursuing irreplaceable acting
Ryu Jun-yeol's acting direction aims to be an irreplaceable actor Expect realistic acting shown in Netflix's The Rat and Moon Jae
Actor Ryu Junyeol revealed the acting direction he aims for in an interview held in Samcheongdong, Jongnogu, Seoul.
Ryu Junyeol said that he feels the greatest compliment is hearing, “I don’t think anyone else could do it but you,” and that he prefers acting that is natural and close to reality. He also explained that when choosing projects, he has a standard of, “If it’s a role that someone else could do, I won’t take it.”
He said he feels disappointed by performances that end up being judged as, “It would have been fine even if it weren’t that actor,” and expressed his wish to continue becoming an actor who is difficult to replace. Ryu Junyeol is appearing in the Netflix series 'Rat,' playing the role of novelist Moon Jae, who has lost his name, face, and life.
