On May 4, an explosion occurred in a workshop of Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Discharging Co., Ltd. in Liuyang, Changsha, Hunan, causing major casualties. After the accident, Xi Jinping made important instructions, requiring that missing persons be searched for as quickly as possible, the injured be treated with allout efforts, and followup work be handled properly. Xi Jinping stressed that all regions and relevant departments must draw profound lessons, tighten safety production responsibilities, carry out concentrated investigations and remediation of risks and hidden dangers in key industries and fields, strengthen public safety management, and effectively safeguard the safety of people's lives and property.
