JPMorgan raises its KOSPI outlook, presenting a bull market target of 15,000 points Attention is on whether improvements in AI, finance, and corporate governance will lift earnings and valuations

J.P. Morgan maintained its positive outlook on the Korean stock market and raised its target for a KOSPI bull market from 10,000 points to 15,000 points. According to the financial investment industry on the 25th, J.P. Morgan stated in a report that its base scenario for the KOSPI is 12,500 points, its bull scenario is 15,000 points, and its bear scenario is 8,000 points. This is an upward revision from its previous outlook of 9,000 points, 10,000 points, and 6,000 points. J.P. Morgan said it is maintaining a bullish stance on the Korean stock market despite foreign selling and high volatility. It cited as reasons for the upgraded outlook the potential for improved earnings at domestic hardware companies amid the spread of artificial intelligence, increased profits in the AI and industrials sectors, expectations of asset effects and improved net interest margins in financial stocks, and higher valuations driven by corporate governance reform.
