Haidong, Qinghai releases its “15th Five-Year” plan, aiming to create five distinctive calling cards
Highlights of Haidong’s “15th Five-Year” plan: build green computing power, agricultural and livestock products, and cultural tourism brands Focus on seven major enhancement actions, unleash new growth momentum, and unlock Haidong’s development path for the next five years
On August 5, the Qinghai Provincial Government Information Office held a special press conference for Haidong City as part of the themed press conference series “The Start of the 15th FiveYear Plan.” Huang Shenghao, member of the Standing Committee of the Haidong Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor of the municipal government, introduced the overall arrangements, development goals, and key tasks of the local “15th FiveYear Plan” outline.
Over the past five years, Haidong's economic and social development has made certain progress. Its regional GDP has exceeded 60 billion yuan, the water quality of sections of major rivers has continued to improve, the rate of excellent or good air quality has remained above 93%, and the Lanzhoustyle noodle industry has also created a large number of jobs.
Looking ahead to the next five years, Haidong proposes to leverage its location, industrial, ecological, and cultural advantages to focus on building a green computing hub, a destination for green organic agricultural and livestock products, the Hehuang labor service brand, the Hehuang cultural and tourism brand, and a highaltitude wellness and healthcare destination. At the same time, Haidong has set a goal of achieving an average annual GDP growth of 5% during the 15th FiveYear Plan period and will roll out seven major enhancement actions in ecological protection, industrial upgrading, urbanrural coordination, reform and opening up, scientific and technological innovation, and social governance.
