On July 13, according to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, the Long March 5 Yao14 carrier rocket has safely arrived at the Wenchang Space Launch Site and will later be used for the launch of the Chang'e7 mission.
After the rocket arrives, it will undergo final assembly and testing together with the Chang'e7 probe, which arrived earlier. At present, the various systems involved in the launchsite trials are advancing mission preparation work as planned.
The report also mentioned that the Chang'e7 probe arrived in Wenchang in April this year via combined air and land transport. The mission is scheduled to launch at an appropriate time in the second half of this year, with the goal of carrying out environmental and resource exploration around the lunar south pole, verifying key technologies such as highprecision soft landing on the lunar surface, legged walking, and lunar surface hopping, and conducting international cooperation.
