On the eve of the International Children’s Day on June 1, General Secretary Xi Jinping wrote back to the Young Pioneers’ red scarf tour guides at the Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the South Lake Revolutionary Memorial Hall, extending holiday greetings to them and to children across the country, and offering them cordial encouragement.
In his reply, General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and that the Party’s cause requires generation after generation to continue striving forward. He hoped that children would hold high the team flag and follow the Party, carry forward the red gene, increase their knowledge and abilities, temper their will and character, and strive to become good children of the Party and the people, taking up the baton of history on the new journey.
The article also noted that, on various occasions, the General Secretary has repeatedly shown concern for the growth of children and adolescents, encouraging them to stay healthy, positive, and diligent in their studies. 2026 is also the first year of the 15th FiveYear Plan, and the relevant plan further sets out measures such as care and protection for minors, providing more support for children’s development.
