The National Flood Control Headquarters maintains a Level IV emergency response for flood control in five provinces

According to the Ministry of Emergency Management, on the morning of July 28, the Office of the National Flood Control Headquarters, together with multiple departments, held a joint consultation to assess the development trend of recent heavy rainfall and deploy flood control work in key regions. The National Flood Control Headquarters decided to continue maintaining the Level IV flood control emergency response for Fujian, Guangdong, Hubei, Sichuan, and Gansu. The consultation noted that, affected by the combined influence of the remnants of Typhoon "Hongxia" and the southwest monsoon, from July 28 to 30, some areas in Central China, South China, and Southwest China will experience relatively heavy rainfall, with a high risk of flash floods, geological disasters, flooding in small and mediumsized rivers, urban waterlogging, and local abrupt shifts from drought to flooding. The National Flood Control Headquarters emphasized that local authorities and relevant departments must strictly fulfill flood control responsibilities, focus on strengthening patrols and hazard removal in areas such as tourist attractions, mountain flood gully outlets, road sections along cliffs and rivers, unsafe reservoirs, geological disaster hazard points, and sunken overpasses, promptly issue early warning information, organize the evacuation and relocation of threatened personnel to avoid danger, and preposition emergency rescue forces and supplies in advance to做好 flood control and disaster relief preparations.
