CCTV News client reported on June 3 that, with the start of the "15th FiveYear Plan," the modernization of community governance is being accelerated across the country. Efforts are focusing on convenient services, smart governance, and everyday details that affect people’s livelihoods, in order to enhance residents’ sense of security and happiness.
The report took examples such as Junmen Community in Gulou District, Fuzhou, Fujian, and Siji Chang'an Community in Xi'an, Shaanxi, to introduce community practices in areas such as meal services for the elderly, services for workers in new forms of employment, policy consultations, and dispute mediation. The article also mentioned that initiatives such as the 15minute convenient living circle, "efficient completion of one thing," standardized development of grassroots social work service stations, and comprehensive governance centers are expanding their coverage.
In addition, the report pointed out that urban renewal work such as the renovation of old residential communities, updating of underground pipe networks, installation of elevators, and construction of pocket parks is also advancing. Relevant policies have been incorporated into the "15th FiveYear Plan" and urban renewal arrangements, in order to make up for shortcomings in communities and improve the level of public services.
