Cho Kuk, the leader of the Rebuilding Korea Party, said at a press conference launching the Honam Election Committee held in Gwangju on the 2nd that he would play a role of criticism and checks on the Lee Jaemyung administration. Representative Cho said that the two major parties have long monopolized Korean politics, and that politics needs new change. He argued that only if the Rebuilding Korea Party is chosen in the June 3 local elections can a 'soil enrichment' of politics take place. He also said that while state affairs have normalized after President Lee Jaemyung's inauguration and expectations and support for the government are growing, he would continue to point out the unconstitutional elements and problems raised in the prosecution reform bill and the system for special courts handling insurrection cases. Before the press conference, Representative Cho presented party nomination certificates to 14 local election candidates from the Gwangju and Jeonnam regions in Damyang, Jeonnam.
