The Fengshan County Committee of the Guangxi CPPCC Promotes Ecological Remediation to Boost the Recovery of Culture and Tourism

The Fengshan County Committee of the CPPCC in Hechi, Guangxi, recently said that the local area is continuously restoring the ecological environment of the Fengshan Global Geopark through measures such as participating in rectification efforts for ecological and environmental inspections, promoting the shutdown and closure of quarries, and clearing sand stockpiling sites.
The report introduced that the Fengshan Global Geopark had previously drawn attention due to issues of illegal construction and ecological damage. After a joint rectification effort by multiple departments in Guangxi, the natural scenery of scenic areas such as Sanmenhai has gradually been restored, and the effectiveness of ecological restoration has also been recognized by the relevant authorities.
During the rectification process, the Fengshan County Committee of the CPPCC also participated in the relocation and resettlement of households to be demolished, the relocation of residents in nature reserves, and the investigation of environmental hazards involving heavy metals, while also submitting research reports on the branding of the geopark and tourism development, providing references for local planning and industrial transformation.
