The State Council has approved the "15th Five-Year Plan for Building a Strong Tourism Nation"

The State Council recently approved and endorsed the "15th FiveYear Plan" for building China into a tourism powerhouse, clearly agreeing in principle to the plan and requiring its earnest implementation. The approval states that the plan’s implementation should adhere to a highquality development orientation and focus on key areas such as the deep integration of culture and tourism, improving the modern tourism industry system, optimizing the spatial layout of tourism, enriching tourism supply, unleashing consumption potential, improving service quality, and strengthening industry governance, so as to enable the tourism industry to better serve people’s livelihoods, promote economic development, and facilitate international exchanges. The approval also requires all provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities to refine implementation measures in light of local conditions, and emphasizes that relevant departments should strengthen coordination, policy support, and dynamic assessment to ensure that all tasks and policies are carried out effectively.
