According to a report by China News Service on July 3, affected by Typhoon No. 10 of this year, “Maysak,” Guangdong, Guangxi, and Hainan will see heavy rainfall from the 3rd to the 6th. After consultation and assessment with the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Ministry of Emergency Management believes that there is a relatively high risk of geological disasters in parts of southwestern Guangdong, eastern and central Guangxi, and southern Hainan.
According to the National Emergency Response Plan for Sudden Geological Disasters and relevant regulations, the Ministry of Emergency Management activated a Level IV national geological disaster emergency response for the above three areas on July 3.
The Ministry of Emergency Management has required the relevant regions to strengthen monitoring of rainfall, flood conditions, and disaster risks,做好 early warning coordination, patrols and inspections, and advance deployment of emergency forces, and to promptly organize the evacuation of residents to safe areas, so as to minimize casualties.
