A senior U.S. government official said on the 1st that President Donald Trump expressed disappointment with allies that did not sufficiently support the United States regarding the denuclearization of Iran. The official explained that Trump has emphasized since his first term that allies should contribute more to the concept of 'peace through strength.' In a recent Fox News interview, Trump referred to South Korea's case of refusing a request for military support related to Iran, saying that just as the United States helps its allies, other countries also need to share the burden.
