The play ‘Closer’ is returning to the stage for the first time in two years with a new cast announced. This season will run from September 15 to December 6 at Yes24 Stage Hall 2 in Seoul. In this production, Oh Manseok, Bae Soobin, and Hong Woojin have been cast as Larry; Choi Kanghee, Lisa, and Jang Heejin as Anna; Hong Jonghyun, Kang Youngseok, and Lee Doyoon as Dan; and Jeon Seongmin, So Jooyeon, and Lee Naeun as Alice. In particular, Choi Kanghee will take on a play for the first time since her debut, and Hong Jonghyun, Lee Naeun, Lee Doyoon, and Lisa will also be stepping onto the stage for the first time with this production. ‘Closer’ is a work set in London in the 1990s that depicts the love and parting, obsession and truth of four characters. It was first introduced in Korea in 2008 and has since been staged several times, with the 2024 season previously selling out every seat. This season will present the work’s renewed style with newly adapted text and translation.
