At a waste processing company in Hoecheondong, Jejusi, Jeju, a man in his 50s died on the afternoon of the 3rd after his upper body was caught in an accident while operating a scrap metal compactor.
According to the Jeju Fire and Safety Headquarters, a report related to the incident was received around 4:32 p.m. that day, and when firefighters and paramedics arrived at the scene 13 minutes later, the worker was already dead.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
