The Gyirong Port rescue route has been reopened, and land transport has basically resumed Rescue supplies have entered the core area, helping subsequent search efforts to begin as soon as possible
Xinhua News Agency, Gyirong, Xizang, Sept. 2 — After overnight efforts by all parties to clear the route, the land passage along National Highway 216 leading to the disaster area at Gyirong Port has basically resumed traffic.
Rescue personnel, supplies, and searchandrescue equipment have entered the core area through this passage and have begun search operations. The reopening of the land route provides important support for subsequent largescale rescue efforts.
This route clearance was completed through close coordination among multiple parties and aroundtheclock efforts.
