Emergency repairs on National Highway 216 leading to the Jilong Port are being expedited
Emergency repairs on National Highway 216 continue to advance, with damaged sections reinforced by gabion cages made of steel bars and stones. Multiple teams worked through the night to help restore the road to Jilong Port as quickly as possible.
In order to restore the damaged section of National Highway 216 leading to the Gyirong Port as quickly as possible, the relevant rescue and construction teams are continuing local subgrade filling and reinforcement work.
In Gyirong Town, Rikaze City, Tibet, workers are speeding up the production of reinforced stone cages for emergency repairs, and several nearby electric welding shops have also joined the production team. More than a hundred workers from China Railway are involved in basic tasks such as material support, stone cage processing, and quarrying and material preparation.
It is understood that after completion, the reinforced stone cages will be transported to the disasterstricken area. In some complex road sections, reinforced stone cages and large blocks of rock will also be deployed to enhance the stability of the road foundation and speed up the emergency repair progress of National Highway 216.
