US startup develops parcel loading and unloading robot... to be deployed at logistics sites

Dexterity, a physical AI startup in Silicon Valley, USA, has developed a robot specialized in loading and unloading courier boxes and is applying it in logistics sites. The company's mobile robotic arm, 'Mech,' demonstrated its work on the 25th (local time) by carrying boxes into a large truck at a warehouse in Redwood City, California. The robot stacks boxes in tight spaces while taking into account the size and weight of the boxes and the interior space of the vehicle, and the company said it can move up to 400 boxes per hour. Dexterity has applied its own world model, 'Foresight,' tailored for logistics tasks, to the robot so that it processes visual, depth, and tactile information together. The company is currently supplying its technology to logistics companies such as FedEx and Sagawa in Japan, and is also expanding its applications into airport baggage handling and air cargo loading and unloading.
