President Lee Jaemyung has ordered a labor inspection to begin at the hospital where a nurse in her 20s died in an incident known as workplace bullying, socalled “taeum.”
On the 1st, Lee described the case on social media as “an unjustifiable and horrific act of violence” and said he would carry out random, unannounced special inspections of medical institutions with similar risks.
He also asked the police to thoroughly determine whether any related illegal acts had occurred, and explained that he would also pursue improvements to the hospital’s organizational culture and working conditions, as well as supplement systems to prevent workplace bullying.
