Young Tailor Donates Custom Suits to Veterans and Descendants of Meritorious National Patriots

At Gocheok Dome in Gurogu, Seoul, Korean War veteran Yoo Jaegeun threw the ceremonial first pitch, and tailor Yoon Jeongwoo, who has been donating custommade suits, stepped up as the ceremonial batter. Since 2024, Yoon has been giving suits he made himself to veterans, war orphans, descendants of national merit recipients, and others. Yoon, who runs a tailor shop in Gangnam, Seoul, visited the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs after opening his business to express his intention to donate, and so far has delivered custommade suits worth about 75 million won to more than 40 people. Making a suit requires a long process, including taking each person's measurements, fittings, and tryons, but Yoon said he feels rewarded when he sees the recipients happily wearing the clothes. Yoon explained that he has continued his spirit of giving, inspired by his paternal grandfather, who was also a veteran. He also said he makes suits at his own expense for young people who struggle financially and cannot afford a suit, and that he will continue doing good deeds while working as a tailor.
