The Tianjin Municipal Health Commission released the "Tianjin Residents' Health Status Report (2025)" on September 4, systematically reviewing the health status of local residents, the incidence and mortality of major diseases, and health risk prevention and control.
The report shows that in 2025, the life expectancy of Tianjin residents with local household registration reached 82.80 years, including 80.51 years for men and 85.30 years for women, continuing to maintain a relatively high level. At the same time, mortality rates for pregnant and postpartum women, newborns, infants, and children under 5 remained at a low level, and maternal and child health protection was relatively stable.
The report points out that chronic noncommunicable diseases remain the main factor affecting the health of Tianjin residents. Heart disease, malignant tumors, cerebrovascular disease, respiratory diseases, injuries and poisoning, and diabetes ranked among the top six causes of death, accounting for 86.96% of all deaths. Among them, diseases such as malignant tumors, stroke, and diabetes show a certain trend toward aging and younger onset.
In terms of public health prevention and control, Tianjin's prevention and control of infectious diseases, endemic diseases, and occupational diseases remained generally stable in 2025, with many indicators staying at low levels, though some risk factors still require ongoing attention.
