According to a June 8 report from the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, with the approval of the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision has filed a case to investigate and examine the serious violations of discipline and law by Xu Li, former deputy secretary of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The notice shows that Xu Li was found to have violated the spirit of the Central Eightpoint Regulation, the principles of organizational discipline, integrity discipline, and lifestyle discipline, among other issues, and was suspected of committing the crimes of bribery and bribery through the use of influence. His violations of discipline and law were serious, and even after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, he still showed no remorse or restraint, with an egregious nature and a significant impact. In accordance with relevant regulations, the Standing Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection studied the matter and, with approval from the Sichuan Provincial Party Committee, decided to expel Xu Li from the Communist Party, cancel the benefits he enjoyed in accordance with regulations, confiscate the illegal gains from his violations of discipline and law, and transfer the suspected criminal issues and involved assets to the procuratorate for legal review and prosecution.
