Police attempted to enter the Jamsil counting center inside the handball stadium at Olympic Park in Songpa District, Seoul, at around 9 a.m. on the 16th, but the standoff continued as they confronted those holding a blockade protest.
This protest has been continuing for more than ten days with the aim of condemning the shortage of ballots in the June 3 local elections and demanding a reelection. As a result, sports organizations under the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee that are housed in the handball stadium at Olympic Park have been having difficulty entering their offices, and they have been requesting a response from the police and the government.
