On the 6th, the country is expected to be mostly cloudy, with rain continuing mainly in the metropolitan area, the Chungcheong region, Honam, and the inland areas of Yeongnam. The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that heavy rain of 20 to 30 mm per hour could fall depending on the region. Expected rainfall is 20 to 60 mm for Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous areas of Gangwon, and the Chungcheong region; 30 to 80 mm for the Jeolla region; 5 to 50 mm for the Gyeongsang region; and 5 to 40 mm for Jeju Island. Even in areas where the rain briefly eases, the high humidity will keep the perceived heat in place. Daytime highs are expected to range from 26 to 32 degrees Celsius, and in the southern inland areas, the perceived temperature could rise to 32 degrees or higher. Gusts, thunder, and lightning are expected over the waters off the South Sea and around Jeju Island, so caution is needed for maritime safety.
