Zhang Zhijun, president of the Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits, said in Lushan, Jiangxi, on September 11 that, against the backdrop of a complex and volatile external environment, the mainland economy is still maintaining a positive trend, with social stability and stronger development momentum, and thus remains an important choice for the development of a broad range of Taiwan businesspeople and compatriots. Zhang Zhijun pointed out that the mainland is continuously fostering new quality productive forces in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, 6G, and new energy vehicles. With a complete industrial system, vast market space, and strong innovation vitality, these factors will continue to provide support for crossstrait economic cooperation. He also stressed that compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait belong to the Chinese nation, and maintaining the common homeland requires joint efforts from both sides. He said the mainland will continue to improve relevant policies and systems, support Taiwan businesspeople and enterprises in developing on the mainland, and create more conditions for young people from Taiwan to pursue their dreams, find employment, and start businesses on the mainland.
