Hana Financial Group’s relocation to Cheongna adds new vitality to Incheon’s economy Check out the news on HQ and campus occupancy, as well as expanded local financial support
As Hana Financial Group relocates its headquarters from Seoul to Cheongna in Incheon, the local community in Incheon is growing expectations for revitalizing the regional economy.
On the 23rd, at Hana Dream Town near Cheongna International City Station in Incheon’s Seohae District, the Group Headquarters (HQ), Integrated Data Center, and Hana Global Campus are located together. This is a finance and IT campus established by Hana Financial to improve work efficiency by bringing together offices that had been scattered across banking, securities, cards, insurance, and other businesses.
It is the first time in 28 years that a financial group has headquartered in Incheon since Kyongki Bank was expelled in 1998. Hana Financial is known to have chosen Cheongna in consideration of Incheon’s connectivity with the airport and port, as well as its potential for industrial growth. Starting this year, HQ staff are expected to move in sequentially, and the number of people residing in Cheongna is expected to increase further.
Incheon City expects the headquarters relocation to bring effects such as job expansion, increased tax revenue, and revitalization of local commercial districts. Hana Financial also plans to expand communitybased financial support, including support for local innovative companies, secured loans, and support for young people and small business owners.
