According to a message from the WeChat public account of the National Development and Reform Commission, affected by recent heavy rainfall, flooding and waterlogging disasters have occurred in many parts of Heilongjiang. On August 4, the National Disaster Prevention, Mitigation and Relief Committee activated a Level IV national disaster relief emergency response.
According to the National Emergency Response Plan for Natural Disaster Relief and Heilongjiang Province's disaster loss situation, the National Development and Reform Commission urgently allocated 50 million yuan in central budget investment to support local efforts in postdisaster emergency recovery.
The funds will be mainly directed toward the repair and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure such as roads and water conservancy facilities, as well as public service facilities such as schools and hospitals, to help the disaster areas restore normal production and daily life order as soon as possible.
