Won-Dollar exchange rate closes at 1,515.20 won

The wondollar exchange rate narrowed its decline in overnight trading and closed at 1,515.20 won. As of 2 a.m. on the 16th Korea time, the exchange rate was 4.60 won lower than the previous day's closing rate in the Seoul foreign exchange market. However, compared with the regular session closing rate, it was 4.10 won higher, and intraday volatility was also high. The announcement of a peace agreement between the United States and Iran led to a weaker dollar, but in the New York session, the dollar index's decline narrowed, and the exchange rate moved again. In the market, caution also continued over further negotiations between the two sides and geopolitical variables.
