According to the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision, Li Zhi, a member of the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee in Guangdong Province and secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection as well as director of the Municipal Supervision Commission, has voluntarily turned himself in on suspicion of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently under disciplinary review and supervisory investigation.
The news was released on August 4 and reported by China News Service. Li Zhi is a member of the Jiangmen Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee, and also serves as secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection and director of the Municipal Supervision Commission.
At present, the official authorities have not announced further details of the investigation.
