Shaanxi Introduces Measures to Accelerate the Construction of Youth-Friendly Cities

Shaanxi recently issued the "Several Measures on Accelerating the Construction of Youth DevelopmentOriented Cities," jointly promoted by 19 departments including the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Provincial Cyberspace Administration Office, and the Provincial Development and Reform Commission. The measures aim to improve the support system for youth development and promote coordinated development between youth growth and urban modernization. According to the Measures, Shaanxi proposes that by 2030 the concept of youth developmentoriented cities will be widely popularized, with landmark achievements made in related work; by 2035, a relatively mature and welldeveloped youth development institutional system will basically be in place, achieving twoway empowerment between highquality youth development and urban construction. The Measures clearly define 15 key tasks, covering expanding employment channels, optimizing employment services, supporting youth scientific and technological innovation, encouraging entrepreneurship, strengthening housing security, encouraging achievement in work, and enriching consumption and lifestyle scenarios for young people. Relevant arrangements include enhancing the employment absorption capacity for college graduates and other youth groups, improving the cultivation mechanism for young innovative talent, and advancing a stepped housing security system of "one bed, one room, one apartment."
