On the morning of September 13 local time, Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the secondstage meeting of the 18th BRICS Leaders' Meeting in New Delhi and delivered a speech titled "Solidly Build the Foundation of BRICS Cooperation and Strengthen the Force of the Global South."
Xi Jinping pointed out that the current international situation is complex and fluid, and the collective rise of the Global South means BRICS countries should strengthen unity and cooperation, play a positive, stabilizing, and constructive role in international affairs, uphold multilateralism and the authority of the United Nations, and advance reforms of international rule of law, fair trade, and the international financial system.
He also put forward five initiatives for deepening BRICS cooperation, covering open and inclusive artificial intelligence, trade and investment facilitation, digital industry cooperation, intelligent manufacturing cooperation, and science and technology talent development. Xi Jinping said that China will continue to promote highquality development and highlevel opening up, share opportunities with all countries, and promote common prosperity.
