Three departments allocate 2.154 billion yuan to support agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation and water conservancy facility repairs

Funds for agricultural disaster prevention and mitigation and water conservancy disaster relief have been made available, supporting affected areas in resuming production Covers water-damage repairs in multiple regions, replanting and restocking, and autumn grain disaster prevention, helping stabilize production and ensure supply

The Ministry of Finance, together with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Ministry of Water Resources, recently allocated 2.154 billion yuan in funds for agricultural disaster prevention and relief, as well as water conservancy disaster relief, to support disasterstricken areas in resuming production as soon as possible and ensuring the safe operation of water conservancy projects. These funds will primarily be used for repairing waterdamaged water conservancy facilities in Guangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Chongqing, Guizhou and other places, as well as for postdisaster agricultural production recovery in Liaoning, Jilin, Zhejiang, Guangxi, Hubei and other places, including field crop management, replanting and reseeding, replenishing livestock and fish stocks, and repairing damaged facilities. In addition, the funds will also support disaster relief efforts following floods, hail and windstorms in Shanxi, Xinjiang, Gansu and other places, and will cover multiple locations including Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Jiangxi, Shandong, Henan, Sichuan and relevant state farms, advancing disaster prevention measures for autumn grain and helping ensure stable grain production.
